Glass workshops, art classes and excursions
I am offering stained glass workshops since 2008. I had organised a charity project in aid of blind and visually impaired people and the NCBI. Part of the project was a series of glass workshops. The participants and I had so much fun that I am offering workshops ever since. I have helped to create countless wonderful glass designs in my unique personal workshops. New to Caimileon Studio are art classes and excursions.

A Studio with a View
My studio is a beautiful bright timberframe building overlooking the Burren and Kinvara Bay. Workshops and courses are limited to four participants, ensuring classes are personal and individual in their approach.
I teach various techniques: copper foil, lead, glass painting, for beginners the copper foil technique is ideal and offers a wide range of designs and ideas.
Every student works at their own level and at their own piece, I have patterns to use or copy or you bring your own ideas and we work something out that suits your skill level. After some practice we can create a larger design you might like for your home or a special present.
Workshop schedule
Two different types of workshop are available. We have weekly classes. Students come for 2 to 3 hours. You can buy a workshop-card for 10 hours and hours will be ticked off as you participate. You can also pay per hour for a higher rate.
Other workshops on offer are full day courses for 3 or 4 participants. The time is sufficient to bring home at least one lovely glass design.

Workshop dates from October 2025
Regular weekly workshops: Tuesdays morning and evening with the option of additional Monday evenings starting from October 6th.
Full day workshops are scheduled for October 11th and 18th, November 15th, December 13th.
Special 🎄🎄🎄Christmas festive Glass Afternoons on 4 Sundays: from November 23rd to December 14th.
Leading and glass painting workshop
Special workshops in Glass Painting and Leading are available. Due to the process of glass painting and kiln firing it will run over 3 dates, you can either join weekly classes or contact me for extra dates.
Art Classes and Excursions
A new addition are my art classes. Here we work with paper and paints to capture ideas we find in nature, for example the magical landscape of the Burren or in glass windows or other art. Those ideas can be used to create a special personal glass design from scratch.

Furthermore I am offering excursions to East Galway, an area with plentiful examples of Celtic Revival Glass Art. Or we might take a trip to Dublin to see the Harry Clarke exhibition. I can bring up to 8 people in my own minibus…

A special workshop in Glass Painting and Leading is available now. Workshops in creating glass designs from scratch with excursions into the Burren landscape are going to run in early Summer.
